 Kinderkirk Mission Statement/Information

Kinderkirk Preschool is ACSI Accredited!

(Association of Christian Schools International)

Kinderkirk Preschool opened on March 1, 1987. Kinderkirk is a ministry of the Ecumenical Church of Pueblo West. Over the years Kinderkirk has grown from a one day a week mom's day out program to a five day a week preschool. In the fall of 2005, Kinderkirk moved into its new facilities adjacent to the church.

Mission: The mission of Kinderkirk preschool is to demonstrate basic Christian principles as well as provide the social and educational activities that are appropriate for preschool children.

Goal: Each child is welcomes as a special and individual person. Our goal is to encourage each child to develop his/her uniqueness in ways that will be acceptable at school, home and in our society.

Pledge to your child: We pledge to accept all children who wish to participate in our program regardless of race, religion, economic background or sex. Children with special needs will be evaluated with care as to enhance their skills, while making sure that our program can meet their unique needs.

Education Goals: Kinderkirk preschool program will provide structured learning activities as well as free play opportunities. All activities will be geared to the age and abilities of each child. We will use developmentally appropriate practices with all of our age groups; physical (growth and motor skills), social skills, emotional and cognitive skills. We believe play is the natural mode of learning for young children. Children will be exposed to readiness skills which includes color, letter and number recognition. There will be structured activities throughout the day because children feel safe knowing what to expect on a consistent basis.

Kindrkirk is the only ACSI Accredited School in the area. For more information on ACSI
